Amsterdam, day 2
![]()
Well, unlike yesterday, we got up early today. We were out the door just after 10. Alas, today decided to be a cold, rainy day, which put a damper (no pun intended) on outdoor sightseeing. Went to the Rijksmuseum, followed by Anne Frank House.
The Rijksmuseum was neat, but I guess I’m not so into that style of art. I mean, I don’t discount the skill in painting such intricate portraits… I know these paintings are Masterworks. They just don’t … do it for me. I like my art more abstract, I guess. Still, it was good to see and experience.
Next up, a very rainy walk to the Anne Frank house. That was fascinating and well worth the visit.
We’re at an Italian restaurant now — we’ll see what the rest of the day holds in store for us.
I’ll leave you with a couple of pictures from last night and today.
